Martens was engaged to provide engineering services associated with in the North Turramurra Recreation Area stabilisation and golf course development proposal.

Martens was engaged to provide engineering services associated with in the North Turramurra Recreation Area stabilisation and golf course development proposal.

Martens carried out detailed design of structures and works and developed detail sufficient for tendering purpose. Services included:

• Project management
• Design of slope stabilisation works
• Development of a concept design for a landfill liner solution in consultation with NSW DECCW and preparation of the engineering specification for the liner implementation across the site
• Drainage design works

Engineering works associated with stabilisation of the site included:

• Preparation of specification for removal, and subsequent sub-grade preparation, of soil and rock stockpiles
• Preparation of specification for backfilling of an existing trench and removal of existing dam
• Site drainage design
• Provision of technical advice regarding course maintenance
• Preparation of specification for shallow sub-surface drains provided on engineering plans
• Design of a 40m long contiguous steel reinforced concrete pile wall using WALLAP and COLDES
• Preparation of engineering specification for regrading works, drainage blanket works and additional berm construction along over-steepened slope sections
• Design of a gabion retaining wall
• Construction supervision
